News / Bulletin Baord / Event Calendar
Depending on how your News / Bulletin Board / Calendar Parameters are set, the News and Messages Menu allows for the entry of News items, Bulletin Board items, and Calendar of Events items. Don't miss the opportunity to communicate with staff and customers / members.
With news features enabled, What's New, Bulletin Board Postings, and Event Calendar items automatically appear on all users Message Center. In addition, What's New and the Calendar of Events can also be included on your external web site -- whether or not your site was developed by MyFBO.com, see Linking with MyFBO.com.
There are no restrictions to the number of news articles or the length of a news article. However, articles should be brief to retain your customers' attention. The most recent added or revised articles are always listed first, making the oldest articles candidates to be deleted. Pictures may also be added to news items on the News and Messages Menu
Subscribers with a knowledge of HTML can enhance their news articles using HTML's many formatting features.
For the features on this menu to work the News Feature must first be enabled, see Feature and Option Parameters. Also, system administrators can elect whether or not Staff Members have access to this menu, see Staff Parameters. Once the News Feature is enabled the Bulletin Board, Bulletin Board Options, iFrame, and Calendar of Events can be set up in the News / Bulletin Board / Calendar Parameters. For information about linking the News Feature and Bulletin Board to your web site see Linking with MyFBO.com and Linking with iFrames.
