FrontDesk Tab

After successful login, most staff users land on the Message Center page, with the FrontDesk Tab active (see example screenshot below). Designed specifically with Front Desk staff in mind, this menu is the central spot for dealing with customers / students / members. Once a customer is selected in the Focus box, or put in focus, any number of tasks can be quickly performed for that customer, such as scheduling flights, viewing / updating customer information, viewing previous flights, and updating Time in Type or training records.

Putting a Customer In Focus

The FrontDesk menu options available to individual users vary due to the security level of the user and the system options in use by your organization, but the basic use / action remains the same for all. Upon first login to your MyFBO.com system, your name appears as the name in focus in both the Focus box on the FrontDesk menu and in the yellow Status Bar always present at the bottom of the screen. Clicking on the name will provide a selector box so another customer can be placed in focus. Once a customer is placed in focus, actions are available to make a sale, view or update customer information, make reservations, or prepare estimates for services (see example screenshots below).

In Focus "Trick"

Often you will perform a task for one customer in focus and wish to immediately perform the same task for another. For example, you may be looking at transactions & balances for Jill Jones and then wish to look at transactions & balances for Bob Brown.

To move from one customer in focus to another, while still maintaining the same task or report page for the new customer, select the new customer using the "Last Name" or "Organization" option. Here's how it works:

Navigation Options

MyFBO.com has flexible navigation systems - ribbon menus immediately under the tabs, and corresponding button or flyover menus. Both ribbon and button menus contain basically the same choices, and can be used interchangeably. The different navigation options exist to support the growing number of touch screen users. Which menu type you see by default depends on Look & Feel settings made by your System Administrator, but you can always set your personal preference from the Home Tab / Personal Menu. Regardless of the navigation choice, Staff users can always hide or display the ribbon menu at any time by using the collapse/expand icon.

In the screen shot below, note the small icons available at the top right of the screen. These appear throughout the system, not just from the FrontDesk Tab.

Your system may not include all of the icons shown. Some are dependent upon system settings and may not apply to your operation.

At the top of this document you'll notice links to a few basic e-learnings that will be helpful as you are learning to use the system. e-learnings are very quick audiovisual recordings that will teach you how to accomplish specific tasks in your MyFBO.com system. When you are logged into your system, please click the Support Tab for a complete list of e-learnings tailored to your user access level and the options available in your system.
