Status Board Parameters

The "Status Board" displays a message on the Status bar in the footer of the system for Staff users. The message can also be displayed in the Message Center for customers (see Message Center Parameters). The Status Board was designed for Universities and Part 141 Schools to display their flight operations status. By having the flight status online, those operators avoid the endless "are we flying today" phone calls.

Use of the Status Board can be enabled, or disabled, by an Administrator from the Admin tab / Features and Options. Once enabled, the Status Board can display one of nine pre-defined messages plus remarks. These status messages are pre-defined by an Administrator from the Parameters and Settings menu. The status messages can also be marked to indicate whether or not to allow aircraft dispatch. For example, if you have a "No Fly" status, it can be marked that only managers or above can dispatch aircraft while the "No Fly" status is active.

 Status Parameters

Once an Administrator has set up status conditions, a Manager or above can set the status board. The status board is not automated, it must be set and updated manually. This is accomplished from the Connect tab. There is also a history maintained of status board changes.

Note: Staff level users can set the status board if permission has been allowed in the Staff Parameters
