Curriculum Definition

The Curriculum Definition Menu is reached from the Manage Tab. It is available to Manager level users who have been granted the additional authority of Curriculum Definition Allowed. This authority is granted by a Senior Administrator via the Admin Tab / Staff Security Menu. Curriculum Definition is also available to Junior and Senior Administrators.

This menu supports the entry of new curricula, updating of existing curricula, copying of existing curricula, and provides access to the Curriculum Library. Users can donate copies of their curricula to be shared with other MyFBO subscribers, and can copy existing curricula from the library. MyFBO.com and the curriculum developers make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the suitability of the curricula for flight training. Use of a donated curriculum is at your discretion and is solely your responsibility.

Curriculum Definition Menu

MyFBO.com is not a curriculum design tool. "Creating" a curriculum in MyFBO.com is the process of entering your pre-existing curriculum into your online system so you can easily track students' progress against it. This is a task that should be approached in an organized manner. Entering of the curriculum is best done by someone who is familiar with the curriculum.

The e-learnings listed below have been created to provide a basic overview of the process, and are meant to be watched in order.

  1. Enable Curriculum Tracking
  2. Curriculum Parameters
  3. Setup a Curriculum
  4. Define a Curriculum - General
  5. Define a Curriculum Stage
  6. Define a Curriculum Lesson
  7. View Curriculum Once Setup

A good approach is to watch the e-learnings, then set up a small curriculum just to get a feel for the process. If you want to explore the curriculum options without affecting your live system, you should Test it in the Sandbox!
