MyFBO provides several user interface enhancements specifically for web-enabled iPhone, iPod and iPad devices:

• MyFBO.com Home Screen Icon
• Minimize graphics for speed
• Flyover Button Menu

MyFBO.com Home Screen Icon

The Home Screen icon provides a convenient way to get to your MyFBO system from the device desktop. To add a MyFBO.com shortcut icon to the Home Screen of an Apple iPhone, iPod or iPad device:

• Using Mobile Safari browser on the device, go to the login page for your MyFBO system.
• In the Mobile Safari toolbar, click the "+" icon and choose "Add to Home Screen".

  
  

• You will be presented with the MyFBO.com icon and may modify the text for your shortcut.

   

• Click the "Add" button to add the shortcut.
• In the future, clicking on the icon from the Home Screen will load the login page for your MyFBO system.

Minimize graphics for speed

Mobile devices often have limited storage available for caching and do not have high bandwidth connections to the Internet, especially those relying on a cellular data network for access. The browsing experience as a result is slow on sites that use large images or other files. Both Customers and Staff may use the "Minimize graphics for speed" option available on the login screen to improve the MyFBO browsing experience in these situations. This feature will:

• provide a text-only button navigation system
• remove any background images in the system (if enabled)
• remove tab icons from the system (if enabled)

Flyover Button Navigation

By default, iPhone users are shown the Flyover Button navigation instead of the ribbon menu. This menu system flys the menus over the work area so that less vertical screen space is reserved for the menu system. Users of touch screen devices will benefit from using the Flyover Button Menu navigation system because the larger buttons are easier to select using fingers or the stylus. The Flyover Button Menu system can be enabled system-wide by an Administrator via the Look & Feel Navigation settings, and staff users can select to use the flyovers by selecting the option "Flyover for iPhone" in their Preferences available from the Home Tab / Personal Menu.
