Defuel Internal Aircraft
If your
operation has
aircraft included in your MyFBO system as resources and you use the Resource
Refuel feature, you are also able to use the Defuel
feature to remove fuel from an internal aircraft. The removed fuel can be reassigned to:
- Another
aircraft utilizing the same fuel type
- Returned
to Vendor
- Dumped
When fuel
is Returned to Vendor or reassigned to a different aircraft, any leaseback
owners originally charged for the removed fuel will receive a fuel credit for the quantity removed.
Creating
a Defuel Record
- Navigate
to the Fuel Management menu.
- In
the Aircraft Fueling section, select the aircraft to defuel and click the Defuel
button.
- The
next step is to select a previous fueling transaction from the past 30 days
and choose the fuel destination in the Reassign Fuel drop down.
- On
the following page, enter the quantity of fuel to be removed (cannot
exceed the original amount in the previously selected transaction), the Hobbs
and Tachometer readings, and the date of the defuel transaction.
- If
returning to vendor, you may also change the fuel price to reflect a difference from the original purchase. The price entered here will be
credited on the aircraft resource account and to any associated leaseback
owners.
- If
reassigned to a different aircraft, also verify the Hobbs and Tachometer readings
for
the aircraft receiving the fuel.
- Click
the Defuel button to complete the defuel record.
Note: If
an internal aircraft does not appear on the drop down selector, it is because a
fuel type has not been set for that aircraft. This is accomplished by Manager
level staff or higher from the Manage Tab:
- Select the Manage Tab.
- Select Resource Management.
- Scroll to the option Change ALL Resource.
- From the drop down, select Data: Aircraft Information.
- Set the fuel type for each aircraft and Update.
