Inventory Management

The Inventory Management component of MyFBO supports the creation and tracking of inventory item records, vendor records, and inventory item / vendor associations.  Inventory items are included on service orders and customer receipts by either using system search features to locate the item, or scanning product codes to locate the item. Inventory costs and quantities are tracked based on recorded sales and routine entry of receiving records. 

Enabling Inventory Management

If you set up a new MyFBO system using our automated setup process and included Inventory Management as one of your options, then the option is automatically enabled  in your new system. 

If you wish to add the Inventory Management option later, the option can be enabled by an Administrator from the Admin Tab/Features & Options menu.

Inventory Management is a chargeable option and will be included in your monthly billing once enabled. Please see MyFBO.com Current Rates for more information. 

Inventory Menus

When the Inventory Management option is enabled, the Manage Tab provides access to Inventory Management and Inventory Reports menus. 

The Inventory Management menu includes options to initially create single inventory items, and to manage inventory tasks such as updating item information, receiving, and recording physical counts.

The Inventory Reports menu includes numerous reports to track inventory history. The first line of 'List' reports also includes options to mass edit specific data fields on screen in the reports. The fields that can be edited are always notated with a gold corner.

Manager level users can access the Inventory menus by default, and can also be granted additional access to Update Inventory Parameters (shown on the screens above in red). 

Staff level users may also be allowed to access the Inventory menus, but are not allowed to Update Inventory Parameters.

The various levels of Inventory menu access are assigned by the Senior Administrator from the Admin Tab / Staff Security menu.
