Customer Report / Export File Generator

Many customer reports can be viewed from the Manage tab / Customer Reports. The Customer Report / Export File Generator allows you to quickly create customized customer reports.

There are 5 columns on the Customer Report Generator page.

• Field - database field label for every item associated with or contained within a customer record
• Include As column - check boxes to include that field as a column in the report
• Primary Sort - First column / field to sort by
• Secondary Sort - Second column / field to sort by
• Drop From Report - check boxes to allow certain customers to be dropped from the report based on flags in the customer record (Discovery Flight, Fictitious, Inactive)

Once you have decided what to include in your custom report, there are three options for viewing the report you create:

• Generate Report - Report opens on screen
• Create Export File - Creates a .csv file
• Create Excel Spreadsheet - Creates an Excel file

If you generate the report to screen, you only get to view and / or print it. Sending the report to a .csv file can be handy for making mailing labels. Sending the customer list to an Excel Spreadsheet is a powerful choice. Once the data is in a spreadsheet, it can be sorted any way that you choose, and can be used to create graphs or charts, or to create other files. This is also a good way to perform an audit for missing customer data.
