The information below has been provided by Phoenix Aviation Managers to assist MyFBO in answering the most common questions about the Phoenix Aviation Managers Pay-by-the-hour insurance plan. MyFBO is not an insurance company or broker. MyFBO is a 100% web based aviation management system. Phoenix Aviation Managers requires the use of MyFBO in conjunction with their Pay-by-the-hour insurance plan. MyFBO is the means by which aircraft hourly usage is tracked and reported to Phoenix Aviation Managers in order for them to calculate monthly premiums.

The core requirements are that you must insure through Phoenix Aviation Managers (PAM) and be a MyFBO subscriber.
To participate in the PAM Pay-by-the-hour Insurance program, you are required to use the Premium Edition of MyFBO. The information required by Phoenix Aviation Managers is based on aircraft utilization tracking - the aircraft usage data collected in the MyFBO system as a result of the daily dispatch and check-in process for flights, and the entry of maintenance tickets for maintenance flight times. These functions must be properly and routinely performed and recorded in accordance with your agreement with your insurer.
Another option for those who may not qualify for the Pay-by-the-hour plan is the "per diem" plan. This is a monthly payment plan for those with smaller fleets, and requires the use of the Standard Edition of MyFBO.
What if I am not insured by PAM?
You should first discuss this with your aviation insurance broker to make certain that PAM can meet your insurance requirements and that you will be likely to meet their underwriting requirements.
What are PAM underwriting requirements?
There is no precise answer to this question. Here are some of the factors PAM may consider:
Aviation insurers typically do not change policies part way through the policy year. However please contact your insurance broker to discuss options. If your policy is about to renew (within 120 days), please begin discussions with your broker right away.
If you are a new MyFBO subscriber, or an existing subscriber who will be upgrading to MyFBO Premium or Advanced Edition, a minimum of 30 days should be allowed for a smooth transition.
