Often two pilots will share the same flight and wish to split flight hours
and charges between them. MyFBO addresses this situation by allowing for
a second pilot in command to be added (by staff) to a solo rental flight reservation
(NOT an instructional reservation). This allows for individual financial
receipts, as well as accurate Time In Type recording against the appropriate
pilot.
Note: For this option to work, you
must have Seat Holder Reservations enabled in Reservation Type Parameters.
Scheduling
- First, make a typical solo reservation for Pilot A.
- After the reservation is made, go to the "Details" page of the reservation.
Please review the screen shot below. Notice that the reservation type is
Rental (SP), or Rental - Solo Pilot.
- Under "Other Actions", use the
"Change/Add Command Pilot" line to add Pilot B to the reservation.
Please review the screen shot below.
Reservation Details - Pilot A
- For our example, we will type in "br" to add Bob Brown as the
second pilot, resulting in the screen shown below.
Select 2nd Pilot
- Once the "Add Second Commander" button is selected, the system will check the
qualifications of Pilot B, and add to the reservation as second pilot in
command.
- To return to the reservation details and view this change, use the
"Calling Page" link at the bottom of the screen. Please review the screen shot below.
2nd Pilot Qualification Check
-
Pilot A remains the main party on
the reservation, but notice a 2nd Pilot has been added and reservation type
has changed to
Rental (S2), or Rental - Solo 2 Pilots. Please review the screen shot below.
- Reservation notifications are emailed to each pilot, and
each will see the flight on their reservation list when they log in to the
system.

be listed for seat holder verification.
- Both Pilot A and Pilot B will
be listed on the dispatch form.

- On the check-in form, use Flight Segment Recording, as each
pilot's portion of the flight will be recorded as a segment.
Please review the screen shot below.
